Seems Google+ won’t tolerate those who’d rather participate in SocialMedia w/o setting free their privacy. http://tsherrell.us/olhyzo

I personally think you are buying into the whining and not looking at the bigger picture or the actual privacy features in Google+.

In terms of privacy, G+ is actually more granular and powerful in how you can tailor how your information is broadcast.  Yes, there is a drawback (right now) - you need to be a real person and you can't be a business. You can set your profile up to use a pseudonym.  But other G+ users may flag your profile for removal (yes Google has the ultimate say), but it might not be the Gorilla that complained. In terms of your information, you can choose how widely or narrowly you want to broadcast it.

The second thing to keep in mind is that the service is in Beta. You get better results with beta testing when you have actual users who will use the product as intended and provide feedback on its existing services and features.  Once those are ironed out - they can be extended to meet other needs - such as virtual/multiple profiles.  For example, there is a very limited Company profile test going on right now.  If you are in that test group, you are required to consent that the profile information may be lost when the full profile feature is implemented.
